About Me
ABOUT ME
Low-key is how I like life. I love to spend my days reading, exploring, running, and being with good people. I like to encourage people and see the silver lining. My goal in life is to smile and laugh. I need enough sleep or I get cranky. I love to see new things and meet new people. I have so much to learn.
PHILOSOPHY
Wake up every morning and choose for it to be a good day. If you are having a bad day, take a nap and it might get better. Finally, treat every person as you would want to be treated.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have just joined couchsurfing on a recommendation from a friend. I am hoping to meet some new and interesting people, and see some new and interesting places.

Music, Movies, and Books
I will read almost anything. I love historical fiction novels, non-fiction science or history books, and memoirs and personal growth books. Some of my favorites include The Alchemist, The Tipping Point, and Pride and Prejudice. I like pretty much any middle-of-the road music. I particularly like country and pop music. My favorite music is anything that I can sing (ratherly loudly and off-key) to. Favorite movies are action movies, though I also enjoy comedies and musicals.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have had the opportunity to see many things. My trip in 2010 to Rome has to be my favorite for two reasons. First, I was able to live in a convent in which young women were being trained to take their vows and enter the sisterhood. To see women from all over Europe join together to celebrate Christmas - women who love God and love life so purely - was truly an amazing experience. Even more enriching, these women welcomed my cousin and me without reservation, not only into their homes but into their lives and routines. Second, seeing the Pieta in person was amazing. I do not know how Michaelangelo envisioned and executed such a work of art, but seeing Mary's face through my own eyes, versus a camera lens... there are no words.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am starting a period in my life where I will be exploring many new interests. In particular, I want to learn to cook, learn more about wine and beer, and expand my literary knowledge between current scientific findings and classic literature. If anyone wants to learn more about this with me, I would love to learn and teach together.
