About Me
Hello! My name is Amanda Staffen, I am currently attending Physical Therapy school at Carroll University in Waukesha, WI. I will be graduating May 2017 and hope to work with kids someday! I grew up alongside of my very well-traveled grandparents, who have ventured to almost every US state along with several countries in Europe and South America. Hearing their stories as a kid pushed me to want to see the world for myself!
I am very new to the site, so I apologize for my lack of references. But feel free to message me with any questions you have, I am more than willing to chat about whatever you'd like! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always had an itch to travel and explore the world, and Couchsurfing provides a great service to do this during breaks away from school. It's also a great way to meet new people! I hope to be able to host others after I graduate school and settle into my own place.
Interests
Aside from traveling and exploring, I love just about anything outdoors: running, hiking, and kayaking in particular. I also love watching football (Go Pack Go), spending time with family, playing with my dog Mia, painting/drawing, and eating ice cream.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: anything Country, as well as some Hip Hop/Pop, although music is not something I am outrageously picky about.
Movies: I like to consider myself a Hunger Games fanatic, Harry Potter enthusiast, and (not so) official Pitch Perfect sing-along group member
Books: This is hard for me to decide, so I'll just list the book I'm currently reading: Run, Don't Walk.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Despite my rather significant fear of heights, I once went zip-lining through a forest in Costa Rica while traveling there with some classmates. It was altogether one of the most terrifying and amazing experiences of my life!
I also once broke both of my arms at the same time. Probably not as much "amazing" as it is "extremely unlucky", but I figured it makes for a good conversation starter :)
Teach, Learn, Share
As far as teaching goes, I can share with you my knowledge about all things exercise. I am also more than willing to share my own travel experiences, or chat about just about anything. I am very open to being exposed to and learning about different cultures!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to consider myself to be a laid back individual, I love hanging out and having good conversations with others. I am also rather organized and tidy, so no need to worry about me leaving a mess on your hands! As I stated above, I am more than willing to answer whatever questions you may have, so ask away!
