About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To try a new food in every country I visit.
ABOUT ME
I'm currently a university student from Massachusetts who is study abroad this semester, and testing out my wings in Europe. I study English literature and I am a self-proclaimed book nerd. I have over 200 books in my bedroom at home. I'm working on a library. I'm mellow and relaxed most of the time but ready for adventure when it calls.
When I smile my whole nose scrunches up.
I love to bake and try out new recipes for cupcakes.
When I was little I used to be afraid of Santa Claus because I thought he was a strange man, breaking into my house despite the fact he delivered presents. My mother had to tell me the truth, much to my 8 year old self's relief.
A life goal is to learn how to say hello, goodbye, and thank you in every language from every country I visit.
PHILOSOPHY
To enjoy the little moments like a spot of sunshine on a rainy day or a really great cup of tea while reading a book. The small moments help to relax me and make me focus on how happiness doesn't have to come in huge doses and big moments.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
This is my first time participating. I hope to have many experiences where I can couchsurf and to host in the future when I return from studying abroad.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couchsurfed once before in Annecy and it was incredible! The town sits on the cleanest lake in Europe, surrounded by mountains and green fields. The town has one canal that winds through it and brightly painted buildings. The place was charming. Our host Jerome showed us around on a Sunday and helped my friends and I with our French as we tried to buy things at the huge Sunday market. He was warm and welcoming, making the experience a wonderful one.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Shakespeare, having read 14 of his plays. My favorites being The Tempest and King Lear.
I am currently obsessed with Game of Thrones like many others.
My favorite movie to watch with my mom is Pride and Prejudice. We watch it together every few months.
I am currently reading Stardust by Neil Gaiman.
I enjoy all types of music but I especially love singer/songwriters like Ed Sheeran, City and Color, and James Taylor. My favorite band is Matchbox 20.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I went to Jamaica with my family, a few years ago, we climbed Dunn's River falls. You start from the bottom, climbing over rocks and swimming through pools of clear, cold water. There are little over hangs where water pours over the edge and you can dip under them and stand under mini water falls. It was a blast and one of my favorite memories with my family.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach someone how to make vanilla chai cupcakes or homemade gingerbread. I can share a few yoga moves. I'd like to learn how to say a few words from the language of each country I visit.
