I am 25 years old and from the small mining town Globe, AZ. I have tons of hobbies and interests. Concerning academics, I like to study cultural anthropology, archaeology, geology, biology, foreign languages, linguistics, literature and history. For fun I dabble in cooking, dance, photography and theatre. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, rock/gem hounding, hiking, fishing, reading graphic novels, road trips, volunteering within my community, and of course, couchsurf.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I host, I surf, and all that fun stuff..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience with Couch Surfing was in South Dakota. Two friends from France, Jean-Charles and Lucile, and my best friend, Josh from Nepal, and I went to Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument for the first time. Our AMAZING host Penny gave us the works and took us hiking and rock hunting. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to do it again!

Interests

I enjoy dancing, the theater arts, cooking and trying new cuisine, hiking and exploring nature, learning other languages and enjoying the company of good friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I'm a documentary nut! I love Discovery and History Channel. I'm not a big movie freak, but when I do watch a film I enjoy comedies/romantic comedies - Penelope, Moulin Rouge..

Music: Aventura, Coldplay, Rod Stewart, C4 Pedro, a bit of everything.

Books: The latest things I've read are "Weird Arizona," "Weird Missouri," "La dama del alba," and "Maus I & II," "La Perdida," "Persepolis I & II," "Aya," and "Les mots etrangers."

Theatre: THE FANTASTICKS! My favorite play!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw a huge herd of elk running across the plains of Colorado from the window of the Amtrak. It looked like something off of Animal Planet! One of the neatest things I've ever seen :O)

Teach, Learn, Share

The Prickly Pair Cactus sometimes gets a white cotton-ish substance over it's glossy, green skin. Inside the cotton are insect eggs that when popped creates a bright, fuchsia stain.

Countries I’ve Visited

Mexico, Portugal, Sao Tome and Principe, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
