ABOUT ME
Two of the loveliest and happiest metal goth punks you will ever meet.
Amanda is a biochemistry PhD candidate in San Francisco and part-time adult model. She loves macabre art, psychedelics, Buddhism, and is addicted to traveling. Amanda has traveled and hitch hiked extensively.
Chris is the head wood carver at Evolve Body jewelry in Seattle, professional body piercer, and member of an artistic suspension team. This is his first big trip and he is stoked.
We were roommates for a year in this awesome and gnarly metal/punk house Amanda started, called the Snakepit, in Seattle.
We love metal, bunnies, nature, and hugs.
PHILOSOPHY
be nice... live your life with kindness and give happiness to others and it will come back to you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Makes me appreciate the finer side of humanity. It amazes me how many people pick up a stranger hitch-hiking and let me stay on their couch.
I like to explore the limits of the human experience. I like traveling, seeing all the different types of people and landscapes, and I connect with other travelers because we tend to share an endless wonder for the experience of life.
Interests
Heavy body mods, hiking, nature, relaxing, meditation, puppies, grindcore, death metal, horror movies, being awesome.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was traveling with a small group and for a couple weeks the boys had been spotting all the good squats at night, and i really wanted me and my girlfriend to show them up so we were walking around this small town in illinois trying to find somewhere good and we walked past this building a couple times and my friend said "wait! what about that one?" and we looked all around it for a while, tried to kick in the boarded window and were unsuccessful so we decided to keep looking for something else. a block away we found another abandoned house and in the back there was a shed full of crap and a table in the middle of the shed and on the table was a hammer, a crowbar, and a butcher knife (kinda weird). anyway we took the crowbar and went back to the other building, which turned out to be an abandoned church / warehouse / living quarters and we swept all the pigeon poops out of a room upstairs and lived there for a week. we were afraid the floors were going to collapse because they were already rotted through in places, but they didn't. it had the most beautiful peeling paint i've ever seen anywhere. Teach, Learn, Share
Hitch hiking is a lot easier and safer than everyone seems to think it is. Experiences: one time someone gave me a crystal he found in the mountains. One time someone almost gave me a puppy. One time someone gave me a ride on a motorcycle for 900 miles through the rocky mountains.
