ABOUT ME

Hello! I have traveled to Zimbabwe, Africa in 2014 to volunteer on a lion rehabilitation and conservation program in and miss it so much. I have caught the travelers bug! I wish I could travel more extensively but I'm interested in smaller scale trips for now. I have also volunteered/WWOOFed in Georgia (worldwide opportunities on organic farms) in 2012. It was such a fun experience, and I learned a lot. I discovered couch surfing around the time I WWOOFed but haven't yet taken advantage of this great opportunity. Hoping to try it soon! I'm laid back, caring, and a people person. I love to learn new things.

Since I wrote the above in 2014: I went to New Orleans last year to help rebuild the Lower Ninth Ward, over 10 years after Katrina. I heard a podcast on how they are still trying to rebuild, so I bought a plane ticket! I love to volunteer when I can, and if I can use that opportunity to travel, even better! A new interest of mine is hiking, I love nature and wildlife.
