My name is Amanda, a singer-songwriter and vocalist from The Netherlands. Right now I'm living in New Orleans, studying there for a semester. I came here to improve my pronunciation of the American-English language. My dream is to become a successful artist, which I'm really working on. My biggest inspirations are Beyonce and Tori Kelly. I love to dance, many kinds of dancing. I have been doing hip hop, street dancing, swing dancing, ballroom and latin dancing. I love to read books, watch series on Netflix. But mostly, I love to discover the world, especially America. I love America and I want to see every part of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to see a lot of America. Staying with locals makes it so much more interesting. They know a lot about the city they live in. And also, saving at least 30 bucks every night, keeps me able to go to a lot of places!

1. Going to America, all by myself!

2. When I was in Norway, I hiked the Fjords mountain, and it was such a beautiful day. The sun was shining, there was no one around. I got a picture of myself all alone on the top of that mountain. It was so beautiful.
