Music - alternative rock and pop punk all the way. I'm an intermittent guitar/drum player, much to my neighbors' chagrin. Some favorites are Bayside, Man Overboard, Motion City Soundtrack, Sleigh Bells and Catch 22 for those ska trumpets.

Books - I like to alternate reading non-fiction (usually something pop science) with literature. I've been trying to make my way through classics like Dickens and Kafka, but throw in some Augusten Boroughs and David Sedaris when those get too heavy.
