ABOUT ME
Back on couchsurfing in 2024 after a few years hiatus and looking for that old school couchsurfing connection.

I still have my place in P*well River, Canada on the Upper Sunshine Coast; a ferry or fly in access paradise in BC with ocean, lakes, mountains and a good community of pals!

In 2024 I lived in Tbilisi Georgia and will likely head back at some point. Love that place! And in 2016 I lived in Ljubljana Slovenia. I quit my job before I left Canada in May 2024. I work in the toxic drug crisis response there and I was extremely burnt out after decades of this work. So now I am trying my own business helping others with their resumes and careers and launching their own small business! Connect if you need help with any of these.

I have been spoiled at every stop meeting amazing people and can only hope it continues on the journey. I'm into live music (post punk, doom sludge, stoner rock, indie), urban exploring, peeling paint, street art, brutalism, harm reduction and social welfare, and sustainability.

I first surfed in Iceland in 2011 and have been hooked ever since!
This site is amazing and amazing people participate and are brought together. Love it!

In Canada I do my best to host when I can and make those feel welcome and try to give a true West Coast experience!

Interests

camping, hitch-hiking, road trips, urban exploring, graffiti, thrifting, sailing, wandering, dreaming, beach combing, picnics, potlucks, waterfalls, gardening, crafting, cocktails, and live music. (mainly post punk, ambient, shoegaze, punk, psychedelic, stoner rock, doom, folk, bluegrass, soul, dark cabaret, reggae). Coffee and cigarettes too!

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to movies I watch a lot of documentaries. Not really a fan of Hollyweird.
For music, I prefer live. favorite instruments are banjo, accordion, and bagpipes. I am open to most tunes mainly stoner rock, post rock, post punk and americana .
As for books, I like the library and mainly read non-fiction and non-sense.
