to be the type of person I want to meet.
stories of yesterdays, and dreams of tomorrow!
I love that instant connection you can feel with a person before you even speak; that you are meant to cross paths. big grins. white water conversations. Heart to hearts. I love to talk, laugh, share, and listen to interesting facts about life.
Heading back to Europe this spring starting in Iceland in May 2016 and then off to Slovenia to do my last working holiday visa! I've never been and I am sso excited for the city of dragons! I have been spoiled at every stop meeting amazing people and can only hope it continues on this next journey. I'm into urban gardening, harm reduction, street art, the housing crisis, mental health care, social welfare, and sustainability.
Hope to still learn more about natural building, preserving, brewing, farming, homesteading, living off the grid, goats milk, honey bees, chickens, knitting and wool.
I also would like to do some more bike riding, urban exploring, visiting old graveyards, rusty old industrial spots and general chatting with anyone who can hold a conversation!
Check out my instagram username: amandeezee to check out where and what I like to explore!
It's not about the money, it's about the experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I first surfed in Iceland in 2011 and have been hooked ever since!
This site is amazing and amazing people participate and are brought together. Love it!
Back in BC I do my best to host when I can and make those feel welcome and try to give a true West Coast experience!
Nothing but the best hospitality in the world!! Great friends have been made!
camping, hitch-hiking, road trips, sailing, hiking, wandering, dreaming, beach combing, picnics, potlucks, waterfalls, gardening, crafting, watching documentaries, and live music. (mainly ambient, shoegaze, punk, psychedelic, stoner rock, doom, folk, bluegrass, Balkan beats, dark cabaret, reggae). Coffee and cigarettes too!
Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to movies I watch a lot of documentaries. Not really a fan of Hollyweird.
For music, I prefer live. favorite instruments are banjo, accordion, and bagpipes. I am open to most tunes.
As for books, I like the library and mainly read non-fiction and non-sense.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sleeping atop a west coast mountain and seeing a shooting star.
Seeing the milky way while dropped anchor in Port Graves Cove, BC.
Flying into Keflavik finally realizing my childhood dream. And Iceland provided the best time ever!!
Hitchhiked 12 countries in 2013.
Took 3 months off to hitch and camp up Vancouver Island.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Scotland, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States
