About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel, meet locals, and see how the people really live

ABOUT ME

I love to travel, explore new places, meet new people, and learn new languages and cultures. I am very open minded, easy to get along with, and fun to be around.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in thinking positively and working on bettering myself every day. I think the best way to learn is through others and through experiences. I choose to travel in order to educate myself, discover who and what is important to me, and how I can live my life happily without material things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new and looking forward to hosting others on my couch in San Francisco, California.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I found out about Couchsurfing.com by meeting a Couchsurfer in Hawaii and sleeping on his couch. I also hosted a Couchsurfer I met through a friend who is from Austria before becoming a member.

My home is open to others at all times. I have friends, friends of friends...always staying with me. I love hosting others and learning about other peoples lives.

Interests

I love dancing, singing, and listening to music. I enjoy biking, hiking, camping, playing soccer, frisbee, pretty much anything outdoors.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC!!! Music is so important to me. I enjoy all types of music I especially like world music - middle eastern, indian bhangra, reggae, and hip-hop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learned to Forgive.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am of mixed cultures (Egyptian and American). I was raised in the United States, but with Egyptian culture in my home. One set of grandparents were Christian, the other Muslim. I was raised Muslim, but learned through my experiences that one religion does not define goodness.

I am not religious, but instead spiritual. I find treating others with respect and being honest has led me along an amazing path filled with wonderful people.
