About Me

Hi there!

I am currently studying International Relations at The University of Nottingham. I caught the travel bug whilst on my year abroad and want to continue to explore new cultures, meet new people and see the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard of couch surfing through other travellers and listening to them tell me about it made me sign up. While I haven't couch surfed yet, I am excited to see the opportunities it will open up for me in the country I'm visiting. While staying in hostels is fun, one only gets a small tourist centric version of the city however, through couch surfing I will hopefully be able to see a gritter underground version of the city from the perspective of a permeant resident.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While not amazing in the most positive of senses, I found my visit to the War Remnants museum in Saigon was eye opening. Having lived in America for four years my version of the Vietnam/American War was very American-centric. However, after witnessing the pictures in this museum, which brought my close to tears, I was told the other side of the story.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Cambodia, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Viet Nam
