About Me
I work a job that can get pretty hectic depending on the news so traveling has always been a way for me to pause, reset my perspective, and recharge. Hosting and staying with hosts around the world has been such a rewarding part of travel for me.
I love to explore by bike, and I'll usually seek out bikeshare or a bike rental in any city I'm in (if I haven't brought my own bike along). I've recently really gotten into bikepacking, with some shorter local tours and dreams for some multi-week adventures. Always happy to advise on the best routes in DC as well!
As much as I'm drawn to big cities, any trip for me needs to balance sightseeing with a moment to recharge in nature. Whether that's an afternoon picnic in a park or a hike up to the nearest overlook.
I'll always seek out a good coffeeshop or bakery, and will always take advice on a great local bar or music venue. I really enjoy taking photos and seeking out the things that add color to any new place I'm in – whether that's a beloved taco stand or a wild outsider art installation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's always been a joy to share my city with friends and visitors. Getting a local's perspective when traveling is something that always adds color to any trip for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year I finally got the chance to bike the C&O canal – a gravel trail connecting Cumberland, Md to Washington, DC. 186 miles and 3 days later it definitely got me hungry for more bike tours!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to buy a round of drinks as thanks, I always enjoy a good local brew.
