Hello fellow couchsurfers! I'm Amber Nicole Belliveau. I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. I am a passionate sculptor who's life goal is to be an international public artist. I am also a teacher and have taught elementary age children the last three years. I've always had a traveling spirit and overwhelming desire to experience the world, different cultures, and what makes other people tick (so to speak). I'm a very open-minded, spiritual, ambitious, real, down-to-earth, honest lady with a true zest for life! I've seen most of my own country, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and discovered and fell in love with Europe when traveling last summer, especially the Liguria region of Italy. I adore nature and feel at home near water and in natural settings. Through my travels last summer, I decided to make my dreams come true. This year, I have earned an extra certification to my teaching degrees to teach English abroad. My current plans are to settle in Italy and interview for teaching jobs in September. First, however, I will backpack Europe for five weeks with the hopes of creating lasting memories of authentic real experiences, made with the people from those regions. The best way to experience a new place is to have a new friend show you around, to laugh with, share stories, and build friendships that will last a lifetime. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to share authentic experiences with people in their home towns during my travels. I am traveling solo to start, but my hopes are to meet new adventurous people along the way to share in creating lifelong memories. Also, a dear friend of mine was an avid Couchsurfer for over a decade and could never say enough good things about this process. He always raved about the friendships and adventures he shared with those all over the world. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us, but I hope to continue on with the marvelous storytelling on my future couchsurfing experiences.

I love just about all music! I am an avid reader and enjoy all types of books from Eckhart Tolle to James Redfield to Dean Koontz. I love a good movie as well!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed to the top of the volcano on the island of Stromboli (off the coast of Sicily), watched it erupt a few times, then climbed back down in the dark of the night. Incredible experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe that we are all spiritual beings on paths to continually grow and learn. I am a lifelong learner and teacher at heart. So, just as I hope to learn so many new things in my lifetime, I also hope to share and teach others from the experiences I've had and the wisdom I've been fortunate to gain through my years. Also, through my backpacking adventures, I am on a mission to collect data in the form of incredible experiences with people and unimaginable imagery to build on my inspirations for future public art installations.
