Hi! My name is Amber, I was born in New Plymouth, New Zealand and grew up in Sydney, Australia. I left home at 17 to study Hotel Management, hoping it would allow me to travel the world. The furthest it got me was Melbourne and Adelaide before realizing it wasn't for me, that I just needed to explore the world before committing to a "career". So here I am, 23 years old and off on a 6 month road-trip through Mexico, Central America and South America with the other half. I'm easy to get along with, I love a bit of adventure, I appreciate good food and good banter (Aussie/Kiwi slang for "conversation"). I adore animals of all sorts; I'm obsessed with dogs and horses mostly. Music is also great, I don't play an instrument but I definitely admire those who do. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am boarding a plane in Australia in June with my male companion I call a boyfriend, we pray that we land in Los Angeles before getting a bus to Phoenix where we will purchase a car. From there we plan to road trip through Mexico, Central America and South America. All within 6 months... we may need more time or we may run out of money and be forced to go home early. I have joined couch surfing in hope that kind individuals like yourself accept my boyfriend and I to stay with you in order to help us submerse in the culture, get to know & become friends with people from other countries and let us show you as much of our culture as we can while abroad.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music but indie would be my favourite. I like old school rock bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Killers, The Cure, U2, Foo Fighters etc. I like the less known bands that play at small festivals and also some local Aussie bands like Sticky Fingers.

I'm more of a thriller or romance movie genre fanatic. I don't really have any favourites... I used to be obsessed with Transformers, Hunger Games and all Nicholas Sparks turned movie-movies ie The Notebook, Dear John, The Vow etc.

I don't read... I wish I liked to read but I just never have the urge, therefore I don't have any favourite books. I do read biographies of famous people though!
