Hi, I’m Amber! I’m back in my hometown of Columbus, Ohio for almost 3 years now, after getting “stuck” in New Zealand for almost 3 years during COVID. Before that, I did an epic no plane slow travel trip with my ex from Ohio to the Yucatan Peninsula, over the course of 6 months - this is where I first experienced the true magic of the Couchsurfing community! Before that, I worked a summer at a hostel near Denali National Park in Alaska. And before that, I was living the big city life in Toronto for a couple of years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The experiences I have had as a Couchsurfer have stuck with me and are some of my favorite travel memories. It makes me sad that this app took such a hit with COVID. I think this community is important and I want to help revive it, through both hosting and by couchsurfing from time to time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This summer I biked 360+ miles from Cincinnati to Cleveland on the Ohio to Erie trail. I highly recommend this trail!
