Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've made sweet love to many couches. Portland, San Fran, Chicago, Richmond, Memphis. I took a 3 week drive across the Eastern US and couch surfed the whole way. Stayed with old friends, friends of friends I had never met. Had an amazing trip. Plan to do it again on the West side of the states soon...Also have spent plenty of time on my brother's couch in Germany.

UPDATE June 2009: on 2nd cross country road trip. I sold all my stuff and am on the road, so I no longer have a couch to offer until further notice but will in 2010!

Interests

Experiencing something new, conquering fears, sharing stories, cooking, sewing, gardening, napping on a hammock, good wine, intense conversations...the usual. I love yoga, practice most days, but I am not obsessed. But, I AM obsessed with biodiesel and alternative fuels.

Skydiving, 3 times...don't ask me how that happened...and I assisted a home birth. Beyond amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a ton about where I live, I have the "in" on some really funky/artsy/kick-ass events in town. I publish a local directory called Charleston's Most Unique, for people who like to take the less traveled road and visit some cool mom&pop shops. Was a massage therapist for 7 years, specialized in prenatal. But don't ask me to massage you, my hands are tired.
