About Me

**My apartment is in Albuquerque, but I work in Santa Fe, Sunday nights- Tuesday nights. Which means I can't host on those days. **

"I'm not from New Mexico, but I got here as soon as I could"

I like exploring, dancing, yoga, swimming, drinking, eating vegan food, and lounging around . I care a lot about other people and kindness is super important to me. For the past eight years I have been working at homeless shelters and it's been good for me. I recommend it to everyone! I'm friendly and like laughing.

I ended up not having a car, but I am more into riding a bike and having extra money anyway. Sometimes I go to school. I got my bachelor's degree in 2006, but still haven't figured out a career. Predominantly I am interested in being happy and helping others and being a good person.

(Amber is my middle name, and what my parents call me- and why all my references refer to me as such. Dusti is my first name, and that's what I go by now)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because we need to have each other's backs.

Interests

I only like to drink if I'm outside or near a fireplace and I am usually down to dance if the music moves me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Rowdy music.
If not that, lyric-driven stuff.

There is this movie called, "Year of the Dog" I like a lot
I suuuuuper into the female-led movies gettin' made these days. Bridesmaids, Spy, Maleficent, and Ghostbusters are rockin' my world.

Tortilla Flat
The Color Purple
and
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
those are some books I'm into

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Annual Bollywood Dance Party, Santa Fe, New Mexico
No one drinks, everyone dances, great music.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Laughter and company and I guess I could try to cook you something vegan to eat.

And I have a spare bike.
