I am currently majoring in film and minoring in photography and French at Wright State University. I am interested in politics, literature, learning new languages, creating art, cooking, and travel.

I'm on Couchsurfing in order to travel in a way that exposes me to communities and people in a way that is more authentic and personal than other forms of travel ( like staying at a resort or in a hotel, etc). I want to meet new people, exchange stories and ideas, explore new areas, and learn as much as I can from this experience.

I'm into a lot of different types of music depending on my mood. I listen to hip-hop, jazz, psychedelic rock, ambient music, etc. Right now, I"m watching a lot of films directed by Andrei Tarkovsky. Contemporary films I've enjoyed include 20th Century Women, Moonlight, Not your Negro, and Kaili Blues. Lately, I've read novels by Toni Morrison, James Baldwin, and Neel Mukherjee. I also like reading about leftist politics and am making my way through Howard Zinn's A People History of the United States.
