About Me
Hello!
My name is Amelia, I'm 24 years old and I'm a teacher!
I never left Canada when I was young, and the first time I really traveled was after I graduated university and my brother and I backpacked Europe for 3 months! After that I was hooked, and I'm ready to see more of the world!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm not a picky traveler and I don't have the income to backpack the world all summer and stay in fancy hotels and eat expensive meals. I'm fine with staying in hostels and making my own picnics BUT if I could make my penny stretch a bit more, of course I will try! I have only heard great things about Couch Surfing and I believe it would be great for me because I'm young and clean and surprisingly responsible. I drink but never excessively and my mother shoved manners down my throats while growing up so I think I'd be a great person to sleep on your couch!
Interests
I'm a history lover: I enjoy exploring castles, museums, crumbling ancient villages and all that. I enjoy reading and relaxing by the beach or in a cafe. I'm very active too! I play competitive soccer, I snowboard, I love to run. I'm a teacher so I'm organized and can multi task like nobodies business.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've done is leaving home for the first time and travel. I never left Canada for vacations or trips or anything when I was young. When I graduated uni, I didn't want to get a job right away and never leave and see the world so I decided to go big - my brother and I backpacked around Europe and we saw 13 countries and it was amazing. I learned so much about myself and I was shoved out of my comfort zone (numerous times) and I met so many amazing people and I now want to do this every summer, when I'm off work for those 2 months.
What I Can Share with Hosts
