Hello there! My name is Amelia, I’m 25 years old and off on my third indefinite journey across this beautiful planet (Since Feb 2025). My main sources of joy are hiking, climbing, writing, singing, dancing and connecting with weird and wonderful people. Before I left to travel, I was working with Indigenous communities back home in Australia, so this is an area I am also very passionate about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing as I see it as a way to connect with people in a very real way, across the boundaries of language and culture. We have a lot to learn from one another! In a world often starved of connection, it’s a way of bringing people together. I’m so grateful to those who have opened their homes to me, and I’m very much looking forward to hosting people once i’m settled back in Australia.

I love a huge range of music and always open to hearing new types, but I particularly love folk, psychedelic rock, psy trance, afrobeat, jazz and funk. Books and movies - I love character studies, snippets of life, realist fiction mainly, a real human story.

I'd love to learn other languages, and I'd be more than happy to help others learn English. I'd love to share stories, share cuisines, share laughs and teach others about my life perspectives whilst learning about theirs.

I love teaching people around the world about the true history of Australia, as most people aren’t aware.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer an open mind, storytelling, positive energy and an adventurous spirit. I can sing some songs for you too! I'd also love to help out with any jobs or chores that need doing, of course. I really quite enjoy cleaning!!
