ABOUT ME

I grew up in Perth (Australia) and have been living Melbourne for the last 5 years. I've just moved to Tokyo and am teaching English at a women's university. I've been teaching English for the last 3 years and I LOVE it. Prior to that I worked as a social worker for 8 years (in youth mental health and hospitals).

I love travelling and languages. I'm a bit of a social butterfly (I love making new friends), but actually at the core I'm an introvert. I love time to myself - listening to music, reading, watching movies etc. I'm friendly, warm and kind, and am curious and open-minded when it comes to meeting new people.

PHILOSOPHY

I've recently been getting more involved in Vipassana meditation and Buddhist teachings. I attend retreats, group sits and enjoy serving (volunteering). I believe in cultivating love and compassion, honesty and generosity.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't used couch surfing for a while now, but I'm keen to get involved in the community. I love the philosophy of the organisation and have had such great experiences meeting people from CS.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed a few times, and met some amazing people through CS groups. I'm keen to host people once I'm settled back home.
