CURRENT MISSION

I have no idea what my current mission is. I'll get off a plane in San Diego on June 28th with a bike and a backpack, and I'm going from there for a year until I start my masters program at Humboldt State.

ABOUT ME

I'm currently a middle school teacher in Western Massachusetts, but soon I'll be leaving everything behind and moving to California without a plan. It's a beautiful thing. I've deferred my acceptance into grad school and I'll be touring on my bike for a couple of months starting in June. After that, I'll be trying to find a place to call home for a year, or maybe a few different places... who knows. My belongings will be packed up in Massachusetts and ready to ship if need be. I don't have many belongings in the first place, which is good I guess.
I am a dreamer, a pretender, a singer, a pianist, a dancer, a hooper, a fisherwoman, a writer, a reader and an eater. I love good beer too. I love the simple things, and I'm so excited by the open space that is my future right now. I have NO idea what I'll be doing in three months, and I love that feeling.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will initially just be surfing until I can find my own home... once this happens I'll gladly open my doors to others who need a place to crash.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The couch surfing experiences that I have had up to this point have been unaffiliated with this site and have happened more by chance-- meeting somebody who knows somebody, etc.
