Hello, we are 3 friends from France : Amélie, Clara and Salammbô !

We are going on a trip to South America for one year. We met at the university, where we all did a master degree in environmental geography. This encounter ended up in a colocation and many laughs, and we decided to carry on the adventure ! During our trip we want discover new environments, people and ways of life. We are new in Couchsurfing system, it will be a pleasir to discover it with you !

A bit more about us :
Salammbô is the traveler of the group and she doesn’t seem ready to stop exploring the world : I had the chance to travel a lot during my short life (I’m only 23) and my favorite memories from all of it are the times when I had the chance to meet and live with locals. In Vietnam when I was a child I slept for several days in different vietnamese houses. We would eat with the families and do some activities with them. I just loved that. I had the same kind of experience with locals in Togo or during erasmus programmes (exchanges programme) in Germany or Slovakia. This is the best way to grow personally and I just can’t wait to experience more things like this.

Clara, is the “yogi mama”, she is the cooker and the sport coach of the group : Hello, nice to meet you, I’m Clara ! Always ready to discover new things, I’m so enthusiastic to share this experience with you ! Indeed, I crave for discovering new cultures and landscapes, learning daily tasks and sharing a bit of each way of life. Like my friends, I’m also passionate about the environment and sustainability : as I’m a nature and pet lover (I will definitely miss my cat me during this trip), I’m always searching for solutions to protect our mother hearth ! I also love reading, going for small walks or runs when the sun rises ! Lucky for you, I’m always willing to cook a comforting meal !

Amélie is the driver, she takes you wherever you want (by car but also by foot, of course) : Hi ! I’m a little woman ready to meet new people and live new experiences. Passionate by cultural, agricultural and eco-construction projects, I want to explore more about these. I'm not very comfortable to speak other language but this will never stop my desire to discover other people, environments, or ways of life. I hope this trip will help me to develop my knowledge and learn more about my own abilities thanks to the other, and maybe thanks to you !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This trip is not only about tourism for us but really about learning from other people, being inspired by them for our future professional and personal life. We want to spend some time outside the traditional touristic road because we want to learn from your experience. That’s why Couchsurfing seems the perfect solution to combine our desire to meet new people, to discover and learn about the local life and to experiment slow travel.
