ABOUT ME

How to give an accurate picture of myself in a few boxes... Well,I am very new to couch surfing, have only had my profile up a couple of days! Born & raised in Sydney, Australia. I love to meet new people, have new adventures, and learn new things. I can be a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you I usually find it easy to have a conversation, and love hearing peoples stories & of course sharing mine. I love to have a laugh & interact with others. I love to cook fresh, healthy food, and like to think that my cooking skills are up to a good level now (although I'm no masterchef). I'm at the point where I've started to cook by instinct, not by blindly following measurements, which I think is a good sign. I also love being cooked for if someone feels like it :)

I started travelling for the first time in my life about 4 months ago. I have been studying for my diploma in marketing at university in Denmark, which I have just completed. I now plan to move to the UK to find full time work, to fund my travels. It has always been a dream of mine to live & work overseas long term, and I'm so excited that dream is just starting to come true, & looking forward to the many adventures I know I'll have.

I love to get out & be active, in the fresh air & sun, and explore, although I love to chillax with a book or movie at home as well. I love nature & the outdoors, & am respectful of the environment - we have a world with so much beautiful scenery, & I believe it's important to take care of it, for future generations, and the other living creatures who inhabit it.
Still love to go out & have a few drinks with friends, especially when in a new place, although I'm at the time in my life where I need to balance that a little, especially during the week. I'm happy to relax with a good book or movie even on weekends as well, depending on my mood. Also love to go out for coffee & good food, and to enjoy many different things, including nature, galleries, the cinema, markets, shopping, festivals...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I am just a surfer, as I don't have a couch to share! I've only juts found out about couchsurfing.org, so I haven't yet had the chance to really look at all the ways I can participate in the community, as my first priority has been building this profile!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None, apart from a few days with friends when travelling interstate in Oz. I am a new traveller!

Currently trying to learn French online. Not the best way to learn but it should give me the basics. Anyone who can help would be appreciated! Spanish & a Scandinavian lnaguage (Danish, Norwegian or Swedish) are also things I'd like to learn.

Anyone who can help with music (theory, vocal coaching, guitar or piano lessons ideally) would also be cool.

Myself, well I'm quite good at English, so can help non-native speakers with that. I enjoy cooking, and while no expert, my skills have improved after cooking for myself for many years, so happy to help with that. And I've been told I'm a good listner, & give good advice :)
