ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Amélie, I'm interested in issues related to ecology an social change. I'm (very) curious, I like to meet people, to share ideas and experiences. I enjoy life, good food, nature, music, literature, comics and human diversity. I live in Ann Arbor with my husband Pedro, who is completing a PHD in history at Umich.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I did my first CS experience in Ankara and it was great!
Interests
I like to write and tell stories, geared towards politics, environment and alternative ways of living. I love my job as a journalist. I'm a regular collaborator of Imagine, a bimonthly magazine dedicated to ecological and development issues. I'm also the chief redactor assistant for a journal about rights of the children in Belgium.
I used to be very committed as a volunteer in several non-profit organisations, dedicated to youth and community development, in Belgium and on the European level. As I've moved recently to USA, I couldn't keep on these activities.
I love to travel. I went to Kinshasa, Bukavu, Cotonou, Bamako, Ankara, Istanbul, Montréal, New York and many places in Europe.
Of course, sometimes; I like also doing nothing and simply be lazy
