Overview
About Me
Hello, I am a PhD student at Penn State in Biological Anthropology. I am originally from the midwest and oddly enough, I miss the cornfield plains.
In my [limited] free time, I like to go hiking with my dog, cycling, and visiting local cafes to overdose on caffeine.
I look forward to discovering new places and connecting with people from all walks of life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As mentioned above, I am interested in Couchsurfing because I look forward to connecting to individuals that I otherwise would not meet.
I like to think I'm generally laid back and easy going. I like to meet new people and learn about their past experiences, morals, goals, etc. In my opinion, learning more about what surrounds us makes us more understanding, passionate, and empathetic individuals.

Music, Movies, and Books
Huge fan of American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis-- take that as you may. I'm not dangerous, I swear.
Music-wise, I have pretty diverse tastes. Not much I dislike other than death metal.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a biological anthropologist, I am broadly interested in the evolution of human bipedalism (walking on two legs) . I specifically analyze the hip joint to determine if skeletal structure is directly influenced by habitual behavior. If you're interested in anything related to human evolution, I'd love to share!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm decently good at cooking authentic Guatemalan food; I love sharing my love of classic Guatemalan foods like beans, lime, cilantro and plantains!
Countries I’ve Visited
Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala
