I'm a language geek who's always dreamed of living far away from all that's familiar and successfully did that for five years. I like meeting people from all over and discovering things that contradict my habits and ideas I take for granted. I'm honest but not to a fault. I try to be kind and reliable. l love food.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been couchsurfing for a couple years, off and on.

Interests

Languages, swimming, hiking, thrift shops, food and cooking, cats and dogs, Belgian beer, forcing myself out of my comfort zone, reading, relaxing in the sun, naps on the beach or in the park.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in France for 4+ years was pretty amazing. Starting a PhD in linguistics is a ton of work but I think it's amazing that I'm being paid to learn what I love.
