关于我
CURRENT MISSION
To record my album and make banana bread
ABOUT ME
I am adventurous but I like to have everything taken care of at the same time. I'm an introvert/extrovert. I care a lot about others and myself too. I'm creative and resourceful. I write music almost every day. I like to party sober but I don't mind if others do substances around me (unless it's stuff like meth, cigarettes, alcohol to an unbearable level etc). I love potlucks, experimenting with food, and sharing it.
I'm vegan, yay! I believe in abolitionism (Prof Gary Francione style); to respect and promote the freedom of all animal species and also to oppose racism, sexism, homophobia, ageism, etc. I believe in compassion. I try to consume as little as possible.
I like being around people who are inquisitive, thoughtful and genuine.
I like making food from scratch and sharing it.
I hope to finish an album this summer. That would be fantastic!
PHILOSOPHY
"The ninety and nine are with dreams, content but the hope of the world made new, is the hundredth man who is grimly bent on making those dreams come true." -Edgar A. Poe

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted people in the past in my place and for extended periods of time. My place is small now though, just a bachelor pad with a big fort (for recording) in the middle of it! I've been a guest before in cities across Canada, and have enjoyed staying at hostels too. I look forward to having future surfing documented :)
I like hitch hiking (not alone).
I think CS is a great idea. I found out about it from a friend.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My favorite couch surfing experience was 2008 in Vancouver. The people I had traveled there with ended up being sketchy. While things were getting bad, I went to a *beautiful* non-smoking/alcohol/etc psytrance and downtempo party without talking in the dance hall, only communication through expression and movement. There, I met some rainbow folk. I stayed with them for the rest of my time in Van. We had a potluck party, explored amazing vegan food, dressed up in costumes as a big group on Commercial Ave and were "just going for coffee", and grew. They tried to get me to move there, but I still went to Montreal (I lived in Calgary & just visited Van before moving east).

That would take a while. I'll finish this later!

I've seen mountains falling over the curve of the Earth.
教,学,和分享
I can share a good amount about nutrition.
The best source of omega 3 in the world comes from chia seeds, then flax (ground so that it's more easily absorbed into your system), and hemp seeds. Consume them with coconut oil when possible.
Many vegan foods are complete proteins (quinoa, which has more than beef), and those that aren't complete (contains all essential amino acids) are stored in our bodies until we eat something else with the complimenting amino acids to complete them. Cool, eh?
Eat seeds! In general they're the most nutrient rich things on the planet. Hemp, chia, flax, quinoa, buckwheat, sunflower, sesame. Blend them to make creamy spreads (add Red Star nutritional yeast for cheese-type flavor and vitamin B12), and so they're well absorbed.
Try sweetening with things like dark agave nectar, dates, and grapes instead of processed sugars and honey.
I think that these are the most important things I can share because they help us understand that it's not necessary to use other animals to live. Non-violence where possible, and it's possible here.
For learning? I don't know, I want to learn everything. I guess I'll just keep my eyes and ears open until new information comes in. Lately I've been reading a lot about the history and current politics and cultures of Africa, including FGM and the destruction of Pygmies.
