ABOUT ME

All about Ori: "I grew up on the top of the Carmel Mountain in Haifa, Israel. A green city that was built on mountains and a beautiful beach.
I work in Information Technology field, meaning that most of the day I use my intellectual left brain. I believe in balanced life, therefore after work I like to practice my non intellectual abilities such as: Playing music, drawing, Practicing martial arts, Cooking, eating, writing... My friends would say I’m a good conversation guy who knows how to listen and point to the interesting questions that are usualy not asked.
I love traveling in nature, meeting people, learning new ways of life and listening to peoples stories.

Me and Rinat met in a camping near a beautiful river in north of Israel, since then we share our life together with great Happiness and Joy.
We find Couchsurfing a perfect platform to connect with people, we hosted a few surfers and had good experiences".

all about Rinat:
"My biggest difficulty is in briefely discribing myself.
I am a fresh graduate of an M.A in Environmental studies in Tel-Aviv University and I work in an NGO promoting Sustainable Transport. My 2nd biggest difficulty is in explaining what is it and what do I do in my work. I will try more face to face.

I love free time. in my "free time" I love to create stuff from paper and used materials (but not doing it as much as I would like), I love nature, travelling and camping (- luckily we both do), and mostly I like to cook in the field (at home Ori is cooking). I love cultures and languages, photography, writting, sawing, gardening and cats. And I have recently joined Ori in his Chi-Kong sessions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We hosted a few surfers and had very good experiences. We are planning a trip in JUL-2012 for 5 monthes in US and Central America. Looking forward to know new people through couchsurfing community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ori had opened his couchsurfing account a few years ago but wasn't actualy active in this community until lately. Rinat had the privillage to "unformally" couchsurf during her travels and also had some experience in volunteery-working-while-being-hosted on organic farms.

We had re-opened this shared account and since then had the joy to host in our modest appartment a few surfers. It was a great experience and we wish to do it more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

* 15 minutes wedding ceremony in a small municipality in Cyprus, no guests, just the 2 of us, the mayor deputy and his secretary who took photos.

* Ori: Traveling 2 weeks with my brother around the Tibetien Himalaya mountain (annapurna). up to 5,500 m (18,000 ft). Amazing experience!

* Rinat: Starting to hitchhike from mid west-coast of Italy to mid south-coast of France, and having the 1st car stopping by a guy driving all the way to Spain. also: having the best conversations with people with whom I don't share even 1 common languge (like in this 1 day long ride with the Spanish guy).
