About Me
Hey there! 🌍✨
I’m Amit from India 🇮🇳
I’m someone who truly believes that travel is not about ticking destinations off a list — it’s about the people you meet, the conversations you share, and the memories that stay with you long after the trip ends.
After a brief hiatus to focus on my career in the hospitality and real estate world, I’m back to reconnect with the global travel community.
I’m a mix of a curious explorer and a "zen" companion. Friends usually describe me as easygoing, open-minded, and a bit of a storyteller. I’m just as happy hiking to a hidden waterfall or going on a spontaneous road trip as I am having a deep, meaningful conversation over a cup of tea that lasts until 2:00 AM.
A little bit of my "Travel DNA":
When I was 17, I spent time hitchhiking through Pune, Goa, and Mumbai solo—sleeping under the stars and sharing spaces with strangers. That year taught me more about human kindness and resilience than any school ever could. It’s why I value authenticity and respect above everything else when I travel today. It might sound unusual, but that time helped me grow a lot and understand what truly matters.
For me, Couchsurfing isn’t just free accommodation — it’s about sharing cultures, laughter, inspiration, and real connections with open-minded souls from around the world. I’m here to step out of my comfort zone, understand local life, learn something new every day, and maybe even make a few lifelong friends along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me Couchsurfing is not just about a free place to stay.
It’s about sharing cultures, stories, food, laughter, and perspectives.
I want to experience places through locals, understand how people live, and build genuine friendships across the world. Some of the best travel memories come from simple things like cooking together, exploring a city with a local, or having deep conversations late at night.
Interests
I enjoy anything related to adventure. I like playing badminton, fishing, gaming, joking around, reading, running, and of course traveling. I also enjoy learning and speaking foreign languages and meeting people from different cultures.

Books I like include:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One thing I’m proud of -
At 17 I hitchhiked the whole of Pune-Goa-Mumbai solo, faced real challenges, and came back stronger. That trip taught me values no classroom ever could. Later, taking a full year off to reinvent myself showed me that sometimes the bravest thing you can do is pause, observe, embrace failure, and come back even better.
If you’re hosting travelers in India (or anywhere!), I’d love to swap stories, cook for you, explore your city together, or just chill with good music and deep talks. I’m respectful, clean, and genuinely excited to contribute more than I take.
Drop me a message — I’d be thrilled to hear about your city, your culture, and how I can make our time together memorable!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can teach you how to cook authentic Indian recipes (I have a background in hospitality, so I promise it’ll be good!). I can also share insights into gardening or tips on navigating the hospitality industry.
Learn: I’m eager to learn new languages, local recipes, and your perspective on life.
Share: I bring positive energy, travel stories from across India, and a genuine helping hand around the house. If you need help planning a trip or planning for starting a business online using marketing, I’m your guy!
What I Can Share with Hosts
To put it simply, I offer:
Great company and good food.
Help around the house or in the kitchen.
Fascinating travel stories (and I’d love to hear yours).
A genuine interest in your culture and your life.
Respect for your home and your space.
