Hi my name is Amit. I was born and raised here and the U.S., but have in been interested in learning about and experiencing other cultures. I like to take to get the time to know other people and form genuine friendships with other people based mutual understanding and learning. I'm very laid-back, genuine, and friendly. I also love snowboarding as well as extreme sports. I look forward to trying bunjee jumping and hanggliding this year. I'm a big fan of asian pop-culture as well as fascinated by Asian history.

I'd like to meet new people as well interact with people from different ethnic backgrounds. I believe that you can learn something new from every person you meet. After finishing college, I realized just how little I'd experienced of the world, which why now I strive to create some memorable life experiences. One of the major things I plan on doing is a lot more traveling. My experience with the couchsurfing community has been a positive one thus far, I've met some really great people and learned some valuable life philosophies from some of the people I've stayed with. I also feel that staying with international hosts will enhance the cultural experience in a foreign land as you can learn from their perspective different aspects about the culture.

I have a variety of interests I pursue ranging from photography, music, yoga, reading, dancing, snowboarding, and extreme sports.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I skydived for the first time this year. This was a big feat for me simply because I have had a fear of heights for now over 20 years. My feelings on the plane ride up were a mixture of fear and surprisingly excitement. When we got out of the plane I was terrified for the first few seconds, but afterwards I was overcome with a feeling of excitement to experience and take in the beautiful blue sky and aerial view of the ground below me. I also learned a valuable lesson from that experience. The best ways to overcome your fears are to step outside your comfort zone face them head on. If you don't step out of your comfort zone you may miss out on a truly amazing experience. Through that experience I also learned how much of an adrenline junky I am and have since continued to try other things such as ziplining. Next on my list are bunjee jumping and hanggliding which I hope to do once we get out of the cold weather in Ohio haha.

Teach: I've been speaking english all my life, so if you're currently learning english I can help you out with that. I can give you some insight into some basic engineering principles that maybe you could use for efficiently organizing your time or workflow. I can also teach you the box step in dancing, it's a pretty simple step that you can use in a variety of different dances.

Learn: I don't know what to put on here, but I what I can promise you is that I will actively listen to any story, topic, or point you're making.

Share: I can share with you a unique perspective on variety of different topics such as culture, music, cinema, and travel. I can also share with you some of my hilarious flight stories. I can also share with you my perspective being a first generation Indian American and what it was like to visit India.
