ABOUT ME

My adventurous spirit was fueled by my father who raced cars and hydroplanes which had us traveling around the US during my youth. I spent 7 months in Europe after college and am now embarking on a 6 month journey in India to spend time with my spiritual teacher. I am curious and wish to try interesting and fun things and meet like minded people along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just joined CS.org in preparation for a 6 month journey to India to spend time with my spiritual teacher. I have a 12 hr layover in Delhi and would like to meet a local resident for dinner and a tour around the city for several hours. I am not certain how this journey will impact the course of my life, however if I do settle back into a community in America, I'd love to pay it forward by meeting other couch surfers who are looking for connections in my area.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was a nomad last year for 5 months, within my community. It was so terrific having friends and aquaintences invite me into their homes and to express sadness when I moved on! I particularly enjoyed staying with one of my dearest friends and her family. I was able to help out in the smallest ways (turning the stove down so dinner wouldn't burn while my pal was tending to her fussy child) that meant so much to others. I was very surprised at how enriching the experience was for both myself and my hosts.

Interests

Music, movies, being out in nature, laughing, yoga, meditation, health education, chilling out at the beach, eating delicious food, intellectual and spiritual conversations, meeting and hanging out with smart and funny people, singing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to Trapeze School (4 hrs) and successfully accomlished the preliminary steps and graduated to being caught! Attended Circus Yoga Camp in '07 which was great fun (I learned how to juggle!) It was 15 of the most incredible seconds of my life! Went dogsledding in Alaska in '05, bicycled from Amsterdam to Paris and raised $20,000 for AIDS in '02. I've officiated 2 wedding ceremonies... what a wonderful honor!

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach yoga and meditation. I am interested in GMO-Free food. I can cook healthy meals. Would like to learn basic outdoor survival skills and different kinds of dance and music.
