CURRENT MISSION

I'll make it to the west coast...and return to the east coast...i'll see everywhere in between...and everywhere beyond. What I'm TRYIN' to say is...my mission is to LIVE before I work and pay taxes for the rest of my 60 years-even if I'm broke doin' it!!

ABOUT ME

I'm a 22 year old fresh college grad. I couldn't bear to do the same old same old...stare at the cubicle walls type of life. I don't know what I love enough yet to devote my life and energy to, so I'm working on learning about me...and learning about the world. My cousin and I went off on our adventure this summer...and from then out the plan was to work for a few months in each destination...enough time to learn the place, love the place, and never forget the people. You could call us free spirits of sorts. =) We are slightly eccentric...but...in the good way!

PHILOSOPHY

i believe in forgiveness...i believe in letting people affect your life...i believe in standing by those who have affected you positively...i believe that relationships with the people who populate your experiences are the single most important aspect of that experience...i believe in forgetting what you are supposed to do and instead doing what you--the YOU somewhere in your heart that you can definitely hear if you listen--says you should do. and i believe, above all, that if something or someone makes you feel free...you should never carelessly let that someone or something slip out of your hands. it's those things & people that define your life...and compose your soul...

Interests

the woods, Saguaros, the west, the southwest, writing, running, the first snowfall of the year...and the last snowfall of the year..., AUTUMN, words..., creek walking, family, kissing, locating myself as near to a body of water as possible (preferably OCEAN), change...live for changes..., hockey, optimism, roadtrips, dogs!, making jewelry, scheming the next big plan for life...and pretending that I can draw (I'm new at that, too...ha)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music with my whole soul...very much a sucker for classic and southern rock (skynyrd, steve miller band, eagles, tom petty, and ccr really do it for me), blues, some serious RHCP, and generally speaking...I love anything acoustic. I don't know how to explain it outside of...I love music that makes me feel free.

The list of books is considerable. Farming of Bones is up there (Edwidge Danticat does wonders with words. Check her out). Skinner's Drift. LOVE Walt Whitman and Alice Walker...and I love books that take me to distant locations in the plot.
