Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Amos Gikonyo, an adventurous and open-minded person from Dandora, Kenya. I love meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and sharing great conversations. I have a background in building technology and experience in online freelancing, which allows me to connect with people from all over the world.
I believe in genuine human connections and the idea of sharing experiences rather than just places. Whether it’s exploring new cities, exchanging stories, or just having deep conversations over a meal, I enjoy making meaningful connections with others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea of traveling like a local and meeting people from different walks of life. Staying with locals or hosting travelers is a great way to learn about different cultures, traditions, and perspectives.

Music, Movies, and Books
🎵 Music:
I enjoy a mix of genres, but I especially love Afrobeats, reggae, hip-hop, and soulful R&B. Some of my favorite artists include Burna Boy, Bob Marley, Sauti Sol, and Khaligraph Jones. I appreciate music that tells a story or brings good vibes.
🎬 Movies:
I’m a fan of action-packed thrillers, thought-provoking dramas, and inspiring true stories. Some of my favorite movies include Inception, The Pursuit of Happyness, Black Panther, and John Wick. I also enjoy a good comedy or documentary now and then.
📚 Books:
I love books that inspire, educate, and open my mind. Some of my favorites include "Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki, "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho, and "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. I also enjoy books on personal growth, business, and psychology.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing things I’ve done was taking a leap of faith to explore online freelancing and remote work. It opened up opportunities to connect with people from different parts of the world, work on diverse projects, and become more independent. It wasn’t always easy, but learning to adapt and grow in a digital world has been a life-changing experience.
If you’d like to share something more adventurous or personal, let me know, and I’ll refine it for you! 😊
