ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm just a student from Australia who is lucky enough to be studying in Spain this year. I've been living in Salamanca and love learning about the country, culture, and trying my best to speak the language! This has also given me the opportunity to travel around Europe for the first time and meet so many different and interesting people, so I'm trying to make the most it, and couchsurfing has been a great way to do that. I'd say I'm a pretty optimistic, considerate and friendly person. Very clumsy, but I'm used to that, and usually the only one who gets hurt is me. I'm very curious and love to learn new things and talk to people, and hopefully give something back as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm still pretty new to couch surfing. I surfed a couple times this summer in the UK and have met up with some couchsurfers while travelling. Those expereinces have been great and not onlly do you see places you never would have a chance to, you meet so many awesome people. I also regularly participate and hang out with the awesome CS group of Salamanca and now that my flatmates are also active couchsurfers I hope I can host some people too. Otherwise I'm always open to meeting up with anyone in town.

Interests

My interests tend to be a bit nerdy. I love reading in all its different forms, but particularly classic literature. I'm also a bit of a pop culture fiend and love all kinds of music, film, and TV shows. I'm also very interested in history, mainly Ancient civilisations, and art. I love watching sports, though I'm not very good at playing thembut it won't usually stop e from giving it ago. This year I've also become really interested in cooking. I always appreciated all kinds of food and willing to try new things, but was terrible in the kitchen. After living on my own though I'm getting better at it and really enjoy trying new recipes! Living in Spain and also whilst travelling I really love not only being able to try the foods, but being shown how to make it and showing others. I'm fascinated by languages and love trying to learn them. And of course I love travel and visiting new places.

Music, Movies, and Books

I know it is such a boring and somewhat annoying response, but I do love all kinds of books, movies and music. I am an avid reader and enjoy all kinds of books. I'm willing to read just about anything. I definitely have a soft spot for classic literature, crime and science fictions, Romantic poetry and Harry Potter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have to say moving out for the first time to live and study in Spain, and being able to travel to so many amazing places. I have had some of the most brilliant times of life this year.
