ABOUT ME

I came to New Zealand from New Mexico almost two years ago. I met my sweetheart in Auckland and took a job in Christchurch and now we both live there. I am a mathematician and an artist. I love the deep blue huge expanse of the sky in both New Mexico and New Zealand. I am a dancer and a philosopher, and that has more to do with being a mathematician than you might think. I'm pretty shy, but I'm working on that.

PHILOSOPHY

I live to find the good things in life the next grand piece of art , gorgeous sunset, nice long talk with someone, a good drink with a friend. For me it is about the experience of existence and doing that.

I've hosted friends of friends for years and then in Christchurch friends of mine told me about CS, I'm only just starting, but this looks like great fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Science fiction and fantasy, but really any good story is one of interest, even Richard Feynman's Properties of Physical Laws. I love the weird movies: Sunshine of the Spotless mind was good, as was the movie Brazil, and 12 Monkeys

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have worked contributing to the search for a cure for HIV. I did computer modeling for a project that was trying to isolate the V-3 loop which may the thing that causes HIV to spread so easily. I used to take an airplane to work. And you know what; really stunning sunsets make me stop and stare every time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love middle eastern dance; basic and advanced math; I enjoy telling a good story; I paint and draw and would be glad to share any of that.
