I am a 22 year old medical student currently living and studying in Kaunas, Lithuania. I grew up in a small village near Bonn, Germany. I am a very open minded friendly person, that lives to meet new people and new cultures. I grew up bicultural with my parents being from Iran and me growing up in Germany.
I love the sun more than the cold .Doing music more than radio. Sports more than radio. cooking more than fast food. Laughter more than anything.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

In my opinion, there are not many options for our generation to make a difference to the way the world has become. One of them is Couchsurfing. I believe that most of todays problems are caused by people ignoring the one simple fact that we all have in common: We are all different. Its time we understand that, just because we are different, that doesn't mean we cannot live together.
Hotels are designed to make the visitor comfortable by adjusting to their way of living. We can travel to the other side of the world, but keep living the way we would at home. We keep hiding behind our phones, just the way we do at home. We don't interact with the locals, or the local culture. And when we return, we haven't learned anything at all.

Couchsurfing gives us the possibility to travel to understand other cultures, meet, interact and argue with other people, that are born and raised in a different place of the world. We are allowed to have an insight into their world from their perspective, not what some guide book tells us. We have the opportunity to understand.
