ABOUT ME

Me. I.

I'm currently reveling in the afterglow of a period of speedy growth in my being. The music festival, Shambhala, allowed me several opportunities to perform in front of dozens, hundreds and thousands of people. Consider me hooked. A dancer; performer. It has only been recently that I've been comfortable out of the light which is the attention of others. Sometimes it just feels right to sit quietly and become invisible. Silent.

The body speaks its own language. Fluent in this language as I am, I learn what people are feeling that even they may not know. Trained in the ancient art of psychology, I can use this information to benefit others. Its pretty damned kickass. I can tell when a person means no before they say anything.

Also, I love trying new things. This means that you will have a partner (plus dog) to partake of your favorite or not-tried activities with. Whether they're scary or hard or fun or whatever, I'm down for trying it at least a couple times. We'll have fun.

PHILOSOPHY

Impossible to convey it here. It would become misconstrued and twisted. If one truely wants to know another's personal philosophy, it must be done in person. Through discussion or dance.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My skills are many. One of which is identifying which things or emotions need filling in and filling them in. Though my company isn't always pleasant to be around, it's always helpful.

I can do all manner of chores, from housework to gardening to landscaping to ranching, but I'm best at making people's homes and world's better places to live and love.

I practise. Practise, practise practise.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with Nina, a dancer, in Vancouver. I breathe to dance and dance to breathe. She had a creation room which had speakers in it and a hardwood floor. A sort of paradise for me.

My interests range. I love people. I could watch them for hours. Conversation. Movement. Passion, love. Connection.

I love it. Meeting someone new. Limitless possibilities. The opportunity to reinvent one's self. This is the beauty of travelling.

I read everything and anything on subject areas of interest. Currently engulfed in Carl Jung's psychology. His personal psychology through his autobiography. I also like Buddhist teachings and yoga scripture.

At the start of a trip, I leave. Away from something. There's a certain amount of terror at not knowing where I will be going, who I will meet, where I'm sleeping and what I'll be eating. That's the most amazing thing for me. The uncertainty.
