About Me

Hi, I'm Amy, I'm 33 and I'm an Aussie. I'm currently not accepting guests since I'm about to travel to Europe and won't be back in Australia until the end of the year. I'm really keen to explore all of Europe and to meet some amazing people along the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will be travelling around the UK and Europe shortly and I'm really looking for a couch to surf and a local to meet and connect with. I'm more than happy to help with jobs around the house and making dinner. I really just want to immerse myself in the cultures and traditions of the European countries, and what better way to do this than from a local's perspective!

Interests

Swimming, going to the beach, listening to music, travelling, the sun, watching TV and movie, exploring new places and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really just listen to what's on the radio (usually the latest hits), but I love listening to new fresh music. I love watching movies too, especially rom coms and comedies, but also kid's movies and some old school movies. I don't really read much (apart from some psychology textbooks).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When you can teach swimming to a child who is petrified of the water, and they become not only able to swim competently by themselves, but also have the confidence to push themselves and to not be scared anymore is truly a wonderful thing. It's the same experience as when a child who suffers from a phobia is able to overcome it and become more resilient.

Teach, Learn, Share

So I was previously a swimming instructor and currently work as a psychologist working with children with autism, ADHD and anxiety. I especially want to learn about your culture and experience the glory that is Europe.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The genuine Aussie experience. I'm open to doing many different things and to be shown the hotspots and highlights of the area.

Countries I’ve Visited
