Présentation
À propos de moi
I'm a simple gal who enjoys dancing to Prince tunes, making faces at animals, and searching for the upper limit of veggies I can fit into one dish. I laugh too hard at fart jokes and also everything else.
I'm a student at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee working on my BA in Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology. I love animals and plants and everything about the Earth.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
Last year I spent a semester abroad in Wellington, New Zealand and thanks to the sweet sweet people of Couchsurfing, I was able to travel all over New Zealand and Australia and spend time with some truly lovely people at the same time.
Now that I'm back in the States, I would love to offer up my space the same way my past hosts have welcomed me into their homes as well as meet amazing people in new cities!! As an aspiring marine ecologist, I'll be spending this summer trying to find a coastal home in which to build a career and I'd love to make connections in cities with booming marine biology communities!
Centres d'intérêt
Animals, vegetables, and smiling as much as I can. I love the natural world and I love experiencing it with others.
Food with heaps of veggies, beer that tastes like autumn, conversation over coffee. The little things.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Music - I love 80's music!! My favorites are Prince, Tears for Fears, The Smiths, The Police, New Order... Also love Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem, Tame Impala, Fiona Apple, Kanye West, Fleet Foxes, James Blake, Tune-Yards... A good mix, I'm sure we'll match somewhere :)
Movies - Werner Herzog and Studio Ghibli films. Synecdoche, New York is my favorite film of all time!
Books - I read mostly nonfiction about nature, but I have a secret love of war books. Also Vonnegut and Faulkner!

Kayaked with endangered dolphins in Queen Charlotte Sound in New Zealand
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I am so interested in learning about the local flora and fauna of the places I am lucky enough to visit; I understand the forces of nature on a scientific level, but that's nothing compared to actually watching a hawk stalk a mouse in the underbrush or stroking the fragrant petals of a magnolia.
