About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be

ABOUT ME

I'm a bit of an explorer - I love getting to know new places (whether its new bits of areas I know very well close to home or far away lands!) seeing new things and meeting new people.

I’m a pretty laid back person and enjoy a good chat over a cup of tea or a beer.

PHILOSOPHY

Abit of a cliché I guess, but treat people how you’d like to be treated and then at least you feel okay about yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to meet people through the CS network and once I am living independently again hopefully I’ll be able to host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far so very good!

Interests

I enjoy lots of different things in my spare time... cooking, art, painting, dancing without reserve, going out for a cold cider with friends(I studied in the West Country), running far, travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music – I like a mix - at the moment my favourites are bonobo, Beirut, arcade fire, Florence and the Machine (all quite orchestral I guess)when I'm out can't beat a bit of reggae, swing or electro -so v. varied!
Movies - I’m a fan of watching a good film, especially the ones which really stay with you. I'm not sure of a favourite but when I was 15 it was Gladiator if that tells you anything!
Books – I love reading, and am a little bit of a literature geek. The best book I’ve read in ages is Anil’s Ghost by Michael Ondaatje.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bouncing around the beautiful Indian countryside in Karnataka on the back of a moped with my sister, singing at the top of our voices while the sun was going down.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak Dutch, a little french and Italian so would love the chance to practice (- or get some new ones in there)

I can pull some great facial expressions too.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, India, Lithuania, Netherlands, Romania, Rwanda, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tanzania

Countries I’ve Lived In

Italy
