Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've mainly surfed especially since the cities I live in are rather small and don't really have a lot of people visiting them. But I'm hoping one day in the future to live somewhere where I can host surfers and give back some of the amazing experiences I have had.
I have stayed with some amazing people so far in Paris, Vienna and Bratislava! Every single one of them were more than hospitable and amazingly kind and generous people. I am so glad I was able to have them in my life even though it was for such a brief period of time.
I have also met some lovely travelers in Alaska that allowed me to travel to the Arctic Circle with them. Impossible without coushsurfing! =)
I love to dance. Everything about it is so enticing to me. I love the way bodies move.
I love skiing, but not super intense skiing, just the casual long pretty trails where I can daydream and just be a dork about nature.
I like doing things that people don't expect. I think it's fun to surprise people and to break down assumptions that they might have previously formed.
One of my favorite things is to laugh. I laugh at everything and anything. I never want to be a person that can't find humour in a situation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The scariest thing I have ever done was jump off the Verzasca Dam at 220 meters[with a bungee ;)] I'd love to do it again! It happened so fast it was hard to understand what was happening! But the feeling I had when my feet left the ground is completely indescribable.
I was skiing in Canada and it was incredible! I was able to ski at points higher than the clouds and then ski through the clouds themselves (which is a beautiful thought, but in reality very cold and misty), but the view was incredible.
I get very absorbed with the color of things. My favorite so far has been the golden color the trees become when the sun begins to set on them mixed with the greens of the leaves. Kinda hippie..I know.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am so interested in different cultures and languages.
I love hearing stories about how people grew up and the things that are important to them.
If you speak a different language I would love to learn a phrase or two!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can try and teach a bit of basic French or if you like to dance I know a little bit of belly dance and swing dance if that interests you. =)
