About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To do as many cool things as possible before I get too old to do them anymore. I guess that means I have a lot of time, and a lot of things to see.

ABOUT ME

Welp, I don't know what to say about myself. I like to do all sorts of stuff. I'm particularly infatuated with naturey things - specifically hiking. I can appreciate cities, but am usually most awestruck by smaller towns. The place I call home has 120 permanent residents and I am completely in love with it. I'll be the first to admit that it sounds pretty unoriginal to say I love to laugh, but it's the best thing ever. I love laughing. I tell the types of jokes that most peoples' dads tell and everyone rolls their eyes at.

PHILOSOPHY

The best way to grow is to travel. And to eat your vegetables.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, I cannot host.. but I definitely plan to do so when I get the opportunity! In the meantime, I will try to be an easy-going, flexible surfer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only Couchsurfed a handful of times while travelling through Europe with my two best friends. I truly enjoyed all of our experiences Couchsurfing, and all that our hosts had to offer us in laughter and hospitality.

Interests

I'm not exaggerating when I say that almost anything can interest me.

  • acting
  • wine
  • picnic
  • traveling
  • hiking
  • mountains

Music, Movies, and Books

I will give any movie, music, or books a chance, and usually like them.
I will list my favourites of each though…
Movie: Baby Mama. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are my fantasy best friends.
Music: Mumford & Sons. Yeah, I'm that girl.. but I can laugh at myself about it. Ask me about the time I somewhat stalked them and got to meet them and probably freaked them out a little bit.
Book: Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. Because it has the best ending of any book I've ever read. I refuse to watch that movie in fear that it will ruin the book for me, so do not judge the book if you've only seen the movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taking a stereotypical French picnic (baguette, cheeses, grapes, wine -- three bottles of course) up to Dune du Pilat, the tallest sand dune in Europe, with my two best friends. And then when that felt pretty mature, rolling down the hills on the sand dune, and acting like dinosaurs.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't want to put any limitations on possibilities… but I believe that I will be able to learn from every host, and hopefully be able to teach as well.
