Overview
About Me
Professionally, I'm a scientist and I volunteer a lot for environmental education and regulatory decision making. Amongst friends, I like to have potlucks and go hiking. I've experienced a lot of walks of life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to stay with people when I travel. I've also moved a lot for work and travel there ahead to scope the place out. Either way, it's a great way to see a place the way the people live there see it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Neil Gaimen, Tom Robbins, Barbara Kingsolver, and Wendell Berry are some of my favorite authors.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I brought a puppy back to life with CPR once.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm pretty self sufficient. I can teach folks to garden, put up food, build, heat a house with wood. I like to share meals and chat with folks in small groups to learn more about their lives and what they like.
