Seeing what's around the next corner
I'm an upbeat, friendly person who loves to see the world. And when I'm not able to travel, I like to host those who are doing so.
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
Smile at strangers.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love couchsurfing - both surfing and hosting. If you manage to arrive on a weekend, you can be a part of whatever is on the go with me : hiking, going to hear live music, arts/crafts, cooking, visiting with my friends/family etc. If you come during the week, you're a bit more on your own as I work during the day, but I'll give you some suggestions if you need them to keep busy.
To me, couchsurfing is not about getting something for free; rather, it's about meeting people from the countries you're visiting and getting a better opportunity to experience a new culture. It is an exchange between people of ideas, conversation, or, perhaps, skills.
Host, surf, share, laugh, teach, learn....love it!
Every experience has had great moments.
Art! (painting, drawing, photography) learning languages, reading, music, movies, cross country skiing, hiking, cooking (mmmm food!) and, of course, traveling.
- live music
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: just about anything French, Xavier Rudd, Arcade Fire, the Tallest man on Earth, Cat's Empire, and some of the fantastic local music like Slowcoaster or Tom Fun Orchestra
Books : When I have free time, I devour books. Anything with a good story or that is written well.
Teach, Learn, Share
Art - paint, draw, make jewellery and pretty things.
