About Me
Hi I'm Amy, I live in Lismore Australia with my husband and our two fur-babies Jellybean the terrier cross and Daisy the rescue greyhound. I've lived in Lismore most of my life but most of my family live in South-East Queensland (about 3 hours North of Lismore). Sam and I are involved in too many different activities to count! Just some include music at our church, photography for a local farm animal rescue, helping in a local program teaching High School girls their value, and the local universities Engineering society.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Sam and I are looking forward to meeting the locals of all the places we travel. What better way to do that than couchsurf?
My mother and I used couchsurfing when we travelled together in 2012. I enjoyed seeing how to locals live and trying the food that they cooked for themselves every night. We also learnt the best places to visit.
We want to travel moneyless when we can to show people that it can be done and travelling doesn't have to cost a fortune!
Interests
I love to cuddle my small family while watching good TV. I love to make videos and take photos. I love to spend time with animals like pigs, goats, sheep, cows and chickens that have so much to give yet people rarely take much notice of them. I enjoy reading and writing and studying history (although I don't know much about it, that's why I'm studying it).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in Timor-Leste for three months in late 2015 early 2016. I went there to homeschool a small family of children. The house I lived in was right on the beach, literally a 50 metre walk and you were in the ocean, which was crystal clear and flat as anything. The most amazing thing I did while I was over there was visit a near-by Island named Atauro. We travelled there on a small dingy-sized boat and anchored just off-shore. We then jumped out of the boat into the ocean - snorkels and all - and swam in the most beautiful reef I have ever seen. My feet just dangled under me as I floated and stared in awe down at the colours and shapes.
