ABOUT ME

I'm a student and political activist in Seattle. I study Linguistics and Marx (and sometimes try to draw connections between the two). Due to funds I haven't traveled much in my life but I'm looking to change that soon.

Interests

Language and linguistics; politics; music; kitchen supplies; reading the newspaper, on paper; spending time with friends; exploring new places; making new friends; und so weiter.

Music, Movies, and Books

My book and music tastes are varied and somewhat random and tend to change with my mood and current interests. But for books, I read a lot of political books and also enjoy authors such as Walt Whitman, Allen Ginsberg, Audrey Niffenegger, Charles Bukowski, Anna Quindlen, JK Rowling, Nicholas Sparks... I love books that hold my attention, but I'm not interested in setting elitist standards for what is and what is not a good read. I'll give pretty much any book a fair chance.

For music, a few of my favorites at the moment are Death Cab for Cutie, the Shins, Noah and the Whale, Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, Snow Patrol, the Glee soundtracks (....), Blue Scholars, Macklemore, Pernice Brothers, Tegan and Sara... the list goes on and on.
