About Me

Hi, my family immigrated to BC Canada when I was a baby. I went to university on Vancouver Island. I love books, movies, video games (which I am terrible at but still love), and music. Of course, I also love travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I've read more about traveling, backpacking, etc couchsurfing has been mentioned over and over as a great way to meet locals, find a community, and more while traveling. So I've signed up and come June I shall be off traveling and hopefully becoming part of this community :).

PS. At the moment I am living with family so I my home is not mine to offer to any couch-surfers. BUT, I'll be moving to the UK at the end of the summer so hopefully I will be able to return the favour :).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love indie rock mostly but, I have on occasion cranked the car radio and belted out to top 40 songs.

BOOKS! I am a total nerd and love to read! Mostly Fantasy, and yes I totally read books where the females kick ***. Patricia Briggs, Jacqueline Carey, Ilona Andrews, and more.

Movies! I love going to the movies, yes binging at home on netflix is awesome but, nothing beats seeing the latest comicbook movie on the big screen. I never read comics as a kid but I LOVE comic book movies, lol, also anything sci-fi/fantasy/ and yes romantic comedies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Uh, I made a pretty awesome fondant cake once. (It had butterflies, caterpillars, flowers, and was seriously awesome)

Probably the most amazing thing I've done was going to the Galapagos Islands! To say it was pretty incredible is an understatement.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always happy to share my love of crafts. Yes I said crafts, lol, I love origami, cards, etc . Mostly paper crafts but, I have recently ventured into the world of soap and candle making which has produced some interesting results.

I am learning to cook so hopefully I shall meet some people with a love of cooking because that is something I really want to share/learn/etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to help cook (though I am very much a novice), with any DIY project one has, and I do have TEFL certification so anyone looking to practice English :).

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, Ecuador, England, South Africa, United States, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Countries I’ve Lived In
