ABOUT ME

I'm 32 years old, and grew up in a small brown city in Southwestern Ontario, until I moved to study Philosophy. Community, justice, travel, and learning are important to me.
Vince is 43, and has owned a small record store for 18 years. He was really into punk rock in the 80s. He even ate ketchup sandwiches for a few months so he could afford to live in San Diego. He has been a vegetarian for 27 years.
We both love meeting new people, and great conversation, even though we're both a little shy.

We just joined CouchSurfing, but we are hoping to couchsurf when we travel through Eastern Canada this summer.

Interests

Amy's interested in social justice issues, voluntary simplicity, food and cooking, traveling and exploring, SOV movies, the history of psychotronic films.
Vince likes vintage toys, cars, marquees; records; watching plants grow and birds fly; trying new beer; taking pictures of odd things; playing pinball.

Music, Movies, and Books

We most recently watched "Things" and "Sledgehammer", and are looking forward to watching "The Red Shoes". Vince is also watching "Thundarr the Barbarian" and Amy often watches "Frontline".
Music, hmmmm...Vince likes 60s and 70s garage psych; 60s and 70s soul funk and r&b; and 70s and early 80s punk rock. Amy likes early Fall, Patti Smith, Suicide, Sparks, Mummies, 50s rocknroll, garage rock, girl groups, Van Morrison, Captain Beefheart.
Amy likes Nietzsche and Nabokov, Patricia Highsmith, and much, much more. Vince likes Marvel comic books from the 50s-70s and EC Comics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched the sunrise from a canoe on a misty summer morning.
Stayed in Tuba City on the Hopi Reservation.
Drove part of old Route 66.

Teach, Learn, Share

Amy likes making zines, and is always interested in collaborative writing projects. Amy knows a lot about alternative film and vegetarian cooking, Vince knows a lot about music.
Amy would love to learn another language.
