Overview
About Me
Hey there! I’m Anika — a free-spirited traveler from the Netherlands who loves to explore, connect, and experience life through all the senses. I’m happiest when I’m out in nature — hiking through forests, paddling on my SUP board, or dancing under the stars.
I work as a photographer, wild-foraging guide, and life coach — all things that let me combine creativity, curiosity, and a deep love for people and the earth.
I’m married and a proud mom of three wonderful kids who constantly remind me to laugh, stay playful, and enjoy the little things.
For me, travel is about genuine connection — sharing stories, simple meals, and new perspectives. I believe every encounter teaches us something valuable, and I love those special moments when strangers become friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I love authentic connections — meeting people from all walks of life, sharing stories, and discovering new perspectives. For me, traveling isn’t just about seeing new places; it’s also about the people you meet and the moments that stay with you long after the journey ends.
I believe that every encounter has something to teach us. Connecting with others — even for a short while — reminds me how beautifully different and yet deeply similar we all are. Couchsurfing feels like a space where kindness, curiosity, and trust can make way to share that experience.
Interests
I love being outdoors — hiking, backpacking, or paddleboarding whenever I can. Nature keeps me balanced and inspired. I enjoy cooking, dancing, and exploring new places and cultures while traveling.
Photography and psychology both fascinate me — I love observing people, light, and little moments that tell a story. Festivals, good food, and spontaneous adventures make me happy.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening and watching all kinds of music and movies, I listen lots of audiobooks, but i seldom take time to read
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too many things to name just one.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love sharing what I know about photography, wild foraging, and mindful living. I’m always curious to learn new skills, recipes, and perspectives from others.
I believe we all have something to teach — sometimes through words, sometimes simply by the way we live. I enjoy exchanging ideas, laughter, and little moments of inspiration along the way.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m an easygoing and respectful guest who loves to help out — whether it’s cooking a meal, doing some gardening, helping with small projects, or lending a hand around the house.
I enjoy good conversations, sharing stories, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere. I can also teach a bit about wild foraging, or mindful living if that sparks your interest
I’m considerate, and I always appreciate being welcomed into someone’s home and sharing everyday life for a little while.
